Dario Amodei is live with Benioff. Dario likens the "slow-down" to a car accident that competitors could capitalize on. He therefore prefers to collaborate with everyone to establish common standards- or, to stick with the analogy, to avoid accidents. So, there is no backing away from the slow-down. Dario remains impressed by the pace at which the models are being developed.
