OpenAI’s next major model Astra may actually be GPT-6.
The “gpt-6-astra” name is now producing the same unusual API response as a known internal OpenAI model, while random model names are rejected differently.
That strongly suggests Astra is already registered in OpenAI’s systems, and “GPT-6” may not just be speculation anymore.
I deleted the rumors about Astra this morning, but this is real proof. h/t @synthwavedd
