As I’ve posted several times this summer, I think alignment is increasingly one of the key unsolved problems for the future of AI, and for our ability to deploy it globally.
I increasingly doubt it will be solved behind the closed doors of a handful of frontier labs.
Transparency and open models will have to be part of the answer.
