I hope Elon is right. Because I'm an optimist; I believe, to quote Demis Hassabis again, that we are entering the golden era of scientific discovery.
Robotics and AI will take over the tedious work, freeing up so much more time for us humans to focus on creativity, research, and discovery. A dream is coming true, an explosion of intelligence and creativity.
The only underlying problem is distribution, access to the wealth that will be created in abundance. But thats a solvable problem.
