DeepSeek V4.1 attention kernel lead Liu Shengyu’s essay drew 100K+ WeChat reads and topped Zhihu’s trending list.
In it, he likened Anthropic controlling AGI to Hitler obtaining an atomic bomb, and envisioned a future of either “cyber communism” or Cyberpunk 2077-style corporate monopolies.
Liu later stressed that the views in the essay’s penultimate paragraph were personal and did not represent DeepSeek’s position.
