Things are now picking up speed: Gemini 3.8 is presumably about to be released. Though Gemini 3.7 is only a few weeks old.
Via Business Insider: "Some staff have begun using a preview version of Gemini 3.8 Flash, highlighting the breakneck pace of the AI race as Google pushes out new models just weeks apart to keep up with OpenAI and Anthropic."
Gemini 3.8 is reportedly significantly better than 3.7, so it looks like Google is now going full throttle to take on the competition again.
