The internet is about to be flooded with ads like this, the internet getting more dead and zombie-like every day... real humans an endangered species... Humanity gets Ship of Theseus'd out of culture, reading mostly things written by AIs, watching videos created by AIs, on feeds where AIs are selecting what everything we see... What happens after that? We have no idea. We will have handed over cultural production to a new alien species. If they decide what we see, they decide what we think. Now, obviously, human influencers can lie about using products, but there's something hella dystopian about an AI lying to me about using a human product. Right now, there is still some human involvement in creating these ads, but soon there won't be. Direct response marketers are typically the earliest adopters of new tech, so advertising is about to reach a whole new level of fakery.
