Small towns should be fighting to get data centers. Gavin Baker explains it well. "You're opposed to data centers. Well, you know what? It's probably the best thing that has ever happened to working-class Americans. It's like going to college might be significantly NPV-negative now because you can go learn how to be an electrician, a plumber, or an HVAC tech and make ungodly amounts of money. Yeah. So, this has been amazing for working-class Americans. Particularly with behind-the-meter power generation, when a data center goes in, it transforms a town. It is revitalizing all of these dying small towns all over America. We're getting much better at addressing the environmental stuff. Generally, they use natural gas, which is a pretty clean fuel. The water consumption thing is totally debunked. It's totally debunked."
