DeepSeek has been targeted by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which ordered federal civilian agencies to purge the Chinese AI model and associated third-party services from their systems citing national security concerns.
DHS warned that using the Chinese AI model risks transferring sensitive data to Beijing and that the models may harbor malware or security vulnerabilities.
