Claude is doing much more than suggesting research ideas; it is running much of the experimental research cycle itself, with multiple agents searching in parallel and humans mainly defining the rules and evaluation boundaries.

Claude agents can propose a fix, train the model, test it against hidden evaluations, learn from the scores, and keep iterating until they find a better method.
