China’s AI race is getting even larger as gaming giant MiHoYo (“Genshin Impact”), smartphone maker Xiaomi, and food delivery leader Meituan develop their own LLMs.
MiHoYo aims to become a top-tier AI lab within the next few years, while Xiaomi and Meituan are already released capable models. A good analogy would be if blizzard now develops their own LLM in the US.
