BREAKING: NVIDIA just announced that SpaceXAI will deploy Vera CPUs and the Vera Rubin platform to scale Grok’s AI infrastructure from Earth to orbit.

• SpaceXAI is expanding the infrastructure behind Grok as it moves toward gigawatts of computing capacity.

• NVIDIA calls Vera the first CPU built for AI agents. It accelerates tool use, code execution, data processing, orchestration and simulations.

• Vera features 88 NVIDIA-designed Olympus cores and up to 1.2 TB/s of memory bandwidth, enabling up to 1.8× faster task completion than x86 CPUs.

• Faster CPU performance will help AI agents act more quickly while keeping expensive GPUs fully utilized.

• SpaceXAI’s first-generation Starmind AI satellite will be based on an optimized Vera Rubin NVL72 system, extending the same AI architecture into orbit.

SpaceXAI President Mike Nicolls says this will deliver “higher-performance AI agents and more useful work from every watt of compute.”
