Had a really interesting discussion with @ElliotGlazer about the speculation fueled by reporting from The Information and others that another Millennium Prize Problem may be close to being solved.

He’s skeptical. His view is that OpenAI may have made significant progress on a special case of the Hodge conjecture, but that this gives little reason to expect a full solution anytime soon.
