Hugging Face’s US$399 Microduck has attracted more than 10,000 pre-orders, with the development team targeting 20,000 sales.
The open-source desktop biped aims to let every developer run reinforcement learning on physical hardware.
Its controller uses Rockchip’s RK3566 processor. Unitree is offering its S288 brushless digital servo as a replacement for South Korea’s ROBOTIS XL330. If demand converts into sales, Microduck could become a new showcase for Chinese robotics components.
